Prior to NJIT: McDonald, a 6-foot guard from West Chester East High School, was selected as a McDonald's All-American nominee, leading West Chester East to its first postseason in five seasons and first district win in over 10 years. ...a Ches-Mont Conference first-team honoree and All-Area first-team selection, McDonald reached the 1,000-point milestone, finishing fourth in the West Chester East's all-time list with 1,139 career points. ...McDonald averaged 16.6 points per game as a senior and was selected to play in the Philadelphia All-Star Labor Classic. ...two-time second-team all-Conference and honorable mention all-Area selection as a sophomore and junior. ...As a junior, McDonald was nominated for 2018 Miss Pennsylvania Basketball and  she ranked fourth in the Ches-Mont Conference in scoring. ...McDonald played AAU for the Philadelphia Belles Blue Star team.
