2016-17: The senior swam in all 10 meets for the Highlanders. … at the ECAC Winter Championships, the Highlanders placed first, and Sullivan swam two personal-best times in the 200 breast (1:19.85) and the 50 free (24.28). … swam a personal-best 29.64 in the 50 breast during the Howard/Drexel meet. … competed in three events at the CCSA Championships with season-best times in the 200 IM (2:07.88) and the 100 breast (1:02.13).

2015-16: Competed in all nine meets for the Highlanders. … swam in three events at the ECAC Winter Championships, that the Highlanders won for the first time in program history, the 200 breast (2:20.07), the 100 breast (1:04.32), and the 50 free (25.14). … swam a personal-best 30.80 in the 50 breast at the Drexel/Howard Tri-Meet. … at the CCSA Championships swam in three events, the 50 free posting a personal-record of 24.94, the 100 breast (1:03.21) and the 200 breast (2:21.27). … named to the 2016 CCSA All-Academic List.

Prior to NJIT: Sullivan, of Keansburg, NJ swam at The Community YMCA of Red Bank (Coach Jack Caucino). At Keansburg High School Timothy is part of the Tri-M Music Honor Society, Order of the arrow Boy Scout Honor Society and received a Varsity Letter in Music. He also participated in “The Challenge” on MSG Varsity Channel.

Personal: Timothy will earn his Eagle Scout in Summer 2013. Timothy, in attending NJIT will continue a legacy of NJIT graduates within the Sullivan family. His grandfather, Joseph F. Sullivan graduated Newark College of Engineering with a BS in Civil Engineering in 1955. Timothy is majoring in applied physics at NJIT.

Why did you choose NJIT as your university?
I chose to attend NJIT because it has a good reputation as an engineering college, the tuition after financial aid is low and because it has swimming
 
When you were choosing between college swimming programs, what was unique about the NJIT Men's Swimming & Diving program?
What's unique about the NJIT Men's Swimming and Diving team is that we're a small team, which allows us to be close like a family. On my old team, I wasn't nearly as close with my teammates.
 
Why did you choose to be part of the NJIT Men's Swimming & Diving program?
I chose to be part of the NJIT Swimming and Diving team because I love to swim. I have been swimming competitively for 12 years. Swimming is a major part of my life.
