2025-26 NJIT Women's Basketball Schedule
NEWARK, NJ–The 2025-26 slate for the NJIT women's basketball team has been revealed by head coach
Mike Lane alongside the America East Conference league schedule. The Highlanders will have a 29-game schedule with 15 contests hosted inside the Joel and Diane Bloom Wellness and Events Center.
"I am excited about our 2025-26 slate," said head coach Mike Lane, who is entering his eighth season at the helm. "One unique aspect of the schedule is that we will play opponents from nine different conferences in the non-Conference portion. An early highlight is a trip home to Minnesota for junior Audrey Kormann and sophomore Piper Engelby when the Highlanders take on the Gophers on November 14 and then finish off the weekend against the University of St. Thomas in Saint Paul on November 16. We also square off against five new opponents this season - Fordham, Drexel, Manhattan, Dartmouth and Delaware State. All that variety should have us prepared for the America East docket which pops off on January 1st in Baltimore at UMBC."
The 2025 season gets underway with a pair of games on the road – Sacred Heart (Nov. 3) and Fordham (Nov. 7).
NJIT will open its home slate against Wagner (Nov. 11) before making a trip to Minnesota (Nov. 14) and first-time opponent St. Thomas (Nov. 16). Minnesota won the 2025 WBIT and finished the season with 25 wins. The last time the two teams met was on December 28, 2015.
The Highlanders will play the next six out of seven contests at home inside the Joel and Diane Bloom Wellness and Events Center. NJIT will host nearby Saint Peter's (Nov. 19), Drexel (Nov. 22) a 17-win team from a year ago, welcome defending Northeast Champions FDU (Nov. 25) after the Thanksgiving Holiday, Lafayette (Nov. 30), Manhattan (Dec. 7) and Dartmouth (Dec. 11). The lone road game in the home stretch for the Highlanders is a trip down the parkway to Monmouth (Dec. 3).
The final non-conference game of the 2025 season will be on the road at Delaware State (Dec. 29).
America East Conference action tips off on New Year's Day, when the Highlanders make their first road contest in America East action and visit UMBC.
For the remainder of January, NJIT will host four America East schools–Binghamton (Jan. 3), UMass Lowell (Jan. 15), UMBC (Jan. 22) and defending America East Champions Vermont (Jan. 31) and will play three on the road–New Hampshire (Jan. 8), Maine (Jan. 10) and Bryant (Jan. 17).
In the month of February, NJIT will host three games in Newark, including the final regular season game–New Hampshire (Feb. 12), Maine (Feb. 14) and Bryant (Feb. 28) which will mark Senior Day. The Highlanders road contests in February will be at UMass Lowell (Feb. 5), Binghamton (Feb. 7), UAlbany (Feb. 19) and Vermont (Feb. 21).
The top eight teams will qualify for the 2026 #AEPlayoffs with all games at the higher seed. The dates are: Quarterfinals: March 5; Semifinals: March 9; Final: March 13.
All game times and broadcast schedule will be announced at a later date. All #AEHoops games will air on ESPN+ or ESPN3 this season.
