America East Partners with The Field of 68 for #AEHoops Media Day on Oct. 20

BOSTON – The America East is partnering with The Field of 68 once again in 2025 to stream its annual men's and women's basketball Media Day on Monday, Oct. 20. The men's media day will take place live from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. while the women will be streamed live from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.
 
The men's basketball media will be hosted by Jeff Goodman and Rob Dauster, national college basketball writers and the founders of The Field of 68. The duo will release and breakdown the conference's preseason poll as well as the preseason all-conference team at 9 a.m. before chatting with all nine men's basketball head coaches. The complete coach interview schedule can be found below. The media day will be live on the Field of 68 YouTube page and on X at @TheFieldof68.
 
The women's basketball media day will begin at 1 p.m. and will be hosted by Brendan Glasheen and Maureen Magarity. The two will release the preseason poll and all-conference teams at 1 p.m., as well as chat with each of the league's nine head coaches. Glasheen is former America East broadcaster and the current voice of the Connecticut Sun, while Maureen Magarity is a former Coach of the Year in both the America East and the Patriot League. She most recently led Holy Cross to back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances in 2023 and 2024. The media day will be live on the Field of 68 YouTube page and on X at @TheFieldof68.

The #AEHoops regular season begins on November 3, with 13 of 18 men's and women's programs competing on opening night. All home games for America East schools will be on AE on ESPN domestically and then AmericaEast.tv for international viewers.
 
Conference action kicks off on Thursday, Jan. 1 with a full slate of women's basketball action, including defending champion Vermont traveling to play UAlbany in a championship rematch. The men begin on Jan. 3, with a defending champion Bryant traveling to face Maine in another championship rematch. Teams will via for home advantage in the 2026 #AEPlayoffs, where once again all games will be played at the higher seed.
 
The women wrap up their regular season on Saturday, Feb. 28, with #AEPlayoffs Quarterfinal action set for Thursday, March 5. The Semifinals will take place on Monday, March 9, with the #AEPlayoffs Championship set for Friday, March 13 at 5 p.m. at the highest remaining seed.
 
The men's regular season ends on Tuesday, March 3, with the top eight programs advancing to the #AEPlayoffs Quarterfinals on Saturday, March 7. Semifinal action takes place on Tuesday, March 10 and the winners will advance to the Championship at the highest remaining seed on Saturday, March 14 at 11 a.m.
