NEWARK, NJ–The NJIT women's basketball team has reached the America East Conference Tournament for the fifth consecutive season as the No. 5 Highlanders (11-18, 8-8 AE) will visit No. 4 Maine Black Bears (14-15, 9-7 AE) on Thursday, March 6.

Game Information
The game will be played at The Pitt at Memorial Gymnasium on the campus of Maine with tip off slated for 6pm on ESPN+.  In-game statistics will be available on GoBlackBears.com.

All-Time Series
Maine leads the all-time record, 8-5.  This season, NJIT and Maine split the regular season series.  The Black Bears defeated the Highlanders, 71-58, in Orono on Jan. 16 while the Highlanders evened the series in Newark with a 61-56 victory.

--Fifth consecutive America East Tournament for NJIT
--11-18 overall record (4th straight season with 10 or more wins)
--8-8 in America East Action (One shy the program record of nine America East wins in 2022)
–After going 2-10 through the first 12 games (games through December 12), NJIT finished the season 9-8.  An away game on December 30 at LIU, sparked four straight wins for NJIT, which led to the Highlanders starting the league 3-0 for the first time since joining in July 2020.
--Junior Alejandra Zuniga: 2025 America East first-team, paces NJIT with 16.1 ppg (3rd in the America East)
--Freshman Olivia Kulyk: 2025 America East Rookie of the Year, Third Team Selection, All-Rookie Team, 10X America East Rookie of the Week, tied the America East Record for Rookie of the Week honors, averaging 9.7ppg, shooting 41.9 % FG, 4.7rpg, second in the America East in three-point field goal made
--Veteran leader Trinity Williams: 2025 America East All-Defensive & America East All-Academic Team: 10.0ppg, 5.3rpg, leads the league in blocks; Cyberpsychology major (3.79 GPA)
