HOBOKEN, NJ–The NJIT men's fencing team went 3-0 this past weekend at the MACFA B Round Robin hosted by Stevens.

The men recorded wins over Yeshiva (27-0), Hunter (27-0) and host Stevens (14-13).  The NJIT women fenced against Stevens, dropping a close 14-13 decision. 

Leading the men was Ummi Green in men's epee competition, recording a 7-2 overall record followed by Ryan Schart who went 6-2.

In the men's sabre competition, Adrian Figueredo and Christopher Cortez each combined for six wins.

Robert Rountree and Carlos Grodman combined for six wins in the men's foil competition.

The NJIT men will return to action on February 16 at the MACFA V vs. C hosted by Stevens while the NJIT women will return to action on March 1 when the Highlanders compete at the NIWFA Championships hosted by Drew.
