NEWARK, NJ–The NJIT men's volleyball team continued its hot streak, winning its fifth straight match of the season, sweeping visiting Dominican (NY), 3-0 (25-17, 25-21, 25-11), in non-conference men's volleyball action inside the Joel and Diane Bloom Wellness and Events Center.

NJIT, winners of five straight now, improved to 5-2 on the young season.  The five straight in a row for the Highlanders is the longest win streak since the 2022 season when NJIT won seven consecutive matches.

As a team, NJIT hit .317 paced by senior outside hitter Josh Gregg with nine kills on 19 swings with two errors for a .368 hitting percentage.

Freshman Wiktor Nowak, who played the first set, combined for six kills on eight attempts with one error while combining for a .625 hitting percentage.

In front of the net for NJIT, Andrew Fedmasu combined for four total blocks while adding five kills for a .571 hitting percentage on the night.

Bruno Figueiredo and Gil Zyndorf split time at the setting position, piling up 13 assists each respectively.  Zyndorf led the Highlanders with four digs and three service aces.  

As a team, NJIT held a huge advantage in the service ace category, 9-0.
