​FAIRFIELD, CT–The NJIT men's and women's fencing teams concluded its 2025 season at the Tradition Meet this past weekend hosted by Sacred Heart.

Leading the NJIT men on the day was graduate student Paul Veltrup in men's epee competition, recording a 14-1 mark on the day.  Veltrup went 3-0 against LIU, Princeton, Vassar and host Sacred Heart.

In the men's foil competition, Julia Detering combined for seven wins.

On the women's side, Asia Vitali went 13-2 in epee competition, earning 3-0 victories over Temple, LIU, Vassar and host Sacred Heart.

Stella Frias picked up eight wins in the women's foil competition.

Both teams will return to action in 2026 at the Philadelphia Invitational on January 17-18.
