EAST MEADOW, N.Y. - The NJIT swimming and diving team sits in second place with 519 points after the first day of the ECAC Championships on Friday at the Nassau County Aquatic Center.

The Highlanders clinched 17 spots in the finals, including six A-finalists, five B-finalists, and six C-finalists.

Yonatan Ahdut earned a bronze medal in the 500 freestyle with a personal-best time of 4:30.77.
Pawel Drzymala followed with a time of 4:33.79.
Mateo Rodriguez Agusti (4:35.76) and
Keegan Wooding (4:36.08) finished seventh and eighth, respectively.

NJIT placed fourth in both the 200 free relay (1:22.97) and 400 medley relay (3:19.11).

Borys Endle finished sixth in the 200 IM with a time of 1:52.11, followed by
Vincent Coppola at 1:53.63.

Walker Frey placed fourth in the 3-meter dive with a score of 208.80.
