EAST MEADOW, N.Y. - The NJIT swimming and diving team will compete at the ECAC Championships from Dec. 5-7 at Nassau County Aquatics Center. The preliminaries will begin at 9:00 a.m. each day. The finals are scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday.

NJIT has won five ECAC Winter Championship titles, which is tied with Stevens for the most in meet history. The Red and Blue earned an ECAC title in its last appearance in 2023.

The Highlanders will compete against Baruch College, Iona, Bridgeport, Mount St. Mary, Felician, Manhattan, LIU, and Adelphi.

Yonatan Ahdut won the America East Swimmer and Rookie of the Week on Nov. 11 after breaking the pool and school record in the 1,000 free with a personal-best time of 9:17.39 against Binghamton. His time leads the America East and is a CSCAA A-cut time.

Mohamed Walid also earned the America East Swimmer and Rookie of the Week on Oct. 14. He ranks third in the conference in the 200 fly with a time of 1:49.84 against Bryant.

Pawel Drzymala ranks fourth in the America East in the 1,000 free (9:34.75) and 200 fly (1:50.08).

Borys Endle recorded a season-best 200 breast time of 2:01.71 against Bryant, ranking second in the conference.

Andrew Cellar ranks fourth in the America East with a 100 back time of 49.47 against Bryant.

After the holiday break, NJIT will host its final home meet against Rider on Jan. 17 at 1:00 p.m.
