MINNEAPOLIS, MN–Sophomore Allison Cannon scored a team-best 11 points but the Highlanders dropped a 88-39 road victory at Minnesota in non-conference women's basketball action inside Williams Arena.
Friday marked the second all-time meeting between the two teams. NJIT and Minnesota first met back in 2015-16.
In addition to Cannon's team-high 11 points, transfer Ava Locklear chipped in seven points and six rebounds on 3-of-4 shooting from the field in 16 minutes off the bench.
Madilyn Dogs added four points, five rebounds and two assists and Kyleigh Welsh scored four points on 2-of-3 from the field.

NJIT will return to action on Sunday at 1pm (CT)/2pm(ET) when the Highlanders visit St. Thomas.
