NEWARK, NJ -- Freshman David Bolden named America East Rookie of the Week on Monday morning.

The freshman point guard from Milwaukee, Wisconsin impressed in his first two games of his collegiate career. Bolden made his first start of his career on Tuesday, the 4th on the road against Fordham where he went off for 18 points, seven rebounds, three asissts and three steals.

Later in the week when NJIT hosted Fairfield, Bolden made the start again and led the way for the Highanders where he finished with another team-high in points with 12 and grabbed 6 rebounds with 4 steals. 

In two games the first week, Bolden averaged 15.0 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.5 steals in a 1-1 week for the Highlanders.
