Men’s Soccer Wraps Up Non-Conference Slate at Drexel on Tuesday

NEWARK, NJ–The NJIT men's soccer team will wrap up the non-conference slate on Tuesday at Drexel inside Vidas Field.

Game Information
Tuesday's match is slated for 6pm. The match will be streamed live on FloSports with in-game statistics available on DrexelDragons.com.

All-Time Series
Drexel leads the all-time series, 5-1-3, which dates back to 2010.  Last season, NJIT picked up a 2-1 win over the Dragons in Newark on a go-ahead goal by Jake Rubis in the 65th minute.

Last Time Out
Freshman Henrique Sardinha tallied the lone goal of the match in the final minute of the first half to lift visiting NJIT to a 1-0 road victory over Binghamton in America East Conference men's soccer action on Saturday afternoon inside the Bearcats Sports Complex.

Devin Armstrong - NCAA Rankings
Senior Devin Armstrong combined for a personal-best 12 saves against No. 24 Cornell.  The 12 saves are the most by a Highlander goalkeeper since Collin Cunning combined for 13 saves at Maryland on October 26, 2005.  His 12 saves in a single-game ranks tied for second in the NCAA (as of 9/25/25).

Scouting the Highlanders
–NJIT enters Saturday's contest with a 3-6-3 overall mark.
–The Highlanders moved back into the win column after a 1-0 America East Conference road victory at Binghamton.
–NJIT is now .500 in league action (1-1-1) with four matches remaining on the schedule.
–The Highlanders have five players – Sardinha, Sergio Martinez Cubel, Cristian LoGrasso, Caio Carrara and Jake Rubis with one goal each.
–Martinez Cubel leads the team with three assists and five points.
–Armstrong leads the America East in total saves (48) while ranking second in shutouts (5) and saves per game (4.00)

Scouting the Dragons
–Drexel enters Tuesday's midweek contest with a 4-3-4 overall record.
–The Dragons, who last played 10 days ago, are coming off a 1-1 tie at Monmouth on October 4
–Morgan Worsfold-Gregg paces the Dragons with three goals, five assists and 11 points
–Four different Dragons have combined for two goals each
–Raphael Bartell, who has started seven matches for the Dragons, stands at 3-2-2 with two shutouts and 19 saves.  Owen Moore has started four matches and is 1-1-2 with one shutouts and 15 saves.

After three straight on the road, NJIT will return back to Newark and host UMass Lowell on Homecoming Weekend, Saturday, October 18 at 3pm.
