NEWARK, N.J. - The NJIT swimming and diving team will host Seton Hall on Friday at 4:00 p.m. and Rider on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at the Joel and Diane Bloom Wellness and Events Center (BWEC). Both meets will be streamed live on America East TV.

NJIT enters the new year with a 1-3 record in dual meets this season, earning a 79-63 win against Iona on Oct. 4. The Highlanders most recently finished fifth at the BU Terrier Invitational on Nov. 22-24 against Boston College, Boston, Fairfield, and UMass.

Ilias El Fallaki was named both the America East Swimmer and Rookie of the Week on Oct. 15 after breaking two school records, including the 1,000-yard freestyle (9:32.82) and the 1,650-yard freestyle (15:44.05). El Fallaki is the only swimmer ranked in the top 6 in the America East in four freestyle events, including the 200 free (1:39.06), 500 free (4:28.24), 1,000 free, and 1,650 free.

Adam Mekrami ranks in the top 5 in the America East in the 500 free (4:31.95), 1,000 free (9:30.68), and 1,650 free (15:53.56).

Borys Endle broke two school records at the BU Terrier Invitational, including an America East-best 200 breast time of 1:58.46 and a 400 IM time of 3:59.25.

Sam Deemer leads the America East in the 200 back with a time of 1:47.36 at the BU Terrier Invitational.

Aidan Blackmon recorded a 50 back time of 22.73 at the BU Terrier Invitational, ranking third in the America East.

Pawel Drzymala ranks fourth in the America East with a 200 fly time of 1:50.03 at the BU Terrier Invitational.

SCOUTING SETON HALL
Seton Hall enters the contest with a 4-2 record in dual meets this season, defeating Rider, Monmouth, TCNJ, and Lehigh. The Pirates most recently finished third at the Bucknell Invitational on Nov. 22-24.

Bailant Marosi, Kevin Cary, Jaden Bunt, and Michael Klimaszewski set the Seton Hall program record in the 400 freestyle relay with a time of 2:57.90 at the Bucknell Invitational.

Seton Hall leads the all-time series 2-0 in dual meets, including a 164-124 win over NJIT last season.

SCOUTING RIDER
Rider enters the contest with a 1-4 record in dual meets this season, most recently defeating Mount St. Mary's 156.5-122.5 on Dec. 16. The Broncs won nine events in their dual meet against Mount St. Mary's.

Rider leads the all-time series 2-1 in dual meets, but NJIT earned a 195-105 victory last season.

NJIT will host Lafayette for Senior Day on Jan. 25 at 1:00 p.m. at the BWEC.
