NEWARK, NJ–The second half of the America East Conference women's basketball schedule begins this week with a pair of road games for NJIT, first visiting Vermont on Thursday and wrapping up the weekend at UMass Lowell on Saturday.

Game Information at Vermont | Thursday, February 8 
The game is slated to start at 6pm inside Patrick Gymnasium with in-game statistics available on UVMCatamounts.com.  The game will be streamed live on ESPN+.

Game Information at Vermont | Saturday, February 10 
The game is slated to start at 1pm inside Costello Athletic Center with in-game statistics available on GorRiverHawks.com.  The game will be streamed live on ESPN+.

All-Time Series vs. Vermont
UVM leads the all-time series against NJIT, 10-1.  The lone win for the Highlanders came in 2020 in Newark with a 70-60 victory.  UVM defeated the Highlanders in Newark in the first meeting of the season 68-55 on January 13, 2024.

All-Time Series vs. UMass Lowell
NJIT leads the all-time series, 6-5.  The River Hawks picked up a 70-67 win in Newark in the last meeting on January 11, 2024.  Before that, NJIT had won five straight against UMass Lowell.

NJIT Notes
–NJIT finished the non-conference slate above .500 with an 8-5 mark for the first time in the NJIT Division I era (first season competing against a Division I schedule – 2006-07). 
–The Highlanders are in search of its first win in 2024 and in America East Conference action, dropping its last eight contests.
–NJIT led by 2023 America East Conference Rookie of the Year Alejandra Zuniga, is averaging 15.5ppg, which ranks fifth in the league.
Trinity Williams tops the America East in blocked shots, averaging 1.7bpg. Williams paces the Highlanders on the boards with 6.7rpg while adding 9.4ppg.

NJIT Alumnae Day | March 2, 2024
Save the Date!  NJIT Women's Basketball Alumnae Day is set for March 2, 2024, which is also the final regular season game for the Highlanders who will honor its graduating seniors in pregame ceremonies.  Pregame reception will be held inside the Joel and Diane Bloom Wellness and Events Center and will begin at 12pm.  Alums in attendance will be recognized at halftime.  Register here.

Scouting Vermont
Vermont enters Thursday's contest with a 15-8 overall mark, 7-2 in the America East.  The Catamounts most recently dropped a 66-57 decision to Binghamton on February 3, snapping a six-game win streak.

Vermont is 10-1 inside Patrick Gymnasium this season and is led by Emma Utterback's 14.6ppg, which ranks sixth in the league.  Anna Olson sits in eighth with 6.1rpg in the league.

Scouting UMass Lowell
UMass Lowell, who has lost five straight, will play three straight at home, first hosting UMBC (Feb. 8), NJIT (Feb. 10) and Bryant (Feb. 17).  The River Hawks enter the week with a 3-18 overall mark and 3-6 in the America East.  

The River Hawks are 1-7 at home and three wins in conference play came against NJIT, UMBC and New Hampshire.

Milli Carrera paces UMass Lowell with 9.9ppg while Sydney Watkins and Ryane Durant each average 5.5rpg on the glass.
