HOBOKEN, NJ–The NJIT men's fencing team went a perfect 4-0 at the MACFA A vs. B Tournament hosted by Stevens on Sunday.

The Highlanders registered four victories over Lafayette (17-10), Rutgers (23-4), Drew (20-7) and Cornell (14-13).

Leading the way for NJIT Sunday was Christopher Cortez who went undefeated at 10-0 in the saber competition.  Gonzalo Fernandez combined for an 8-1 mark followed by Adrian Figueredo at 7-0.

Ummi Green paced the epee squad, registering a 10-2 mark.

In the foil competition, Aidan Doctor and Josh Schaefer each combined for seven wins.

NJIT will be back in action on Friday, November 22 at the Columbia Invitational at 5pm.
