Men’s Soccer Hosts New Hampshire on Friday Night in Home Finale

Highlanders will honors its graduating seniors in pregame ceremonies , beginning at 6:45pm

NEWARK, NJ–The NJIT men's soccer team will host New Hampshire Friday Night in the home finale of the season for the Highlanders.

Game Information
Friday's match is slated for 7:00pm at Lubetkin Field at Mal Simon Stadium. The match will be streamed live on ESPN+ with in-game statistics available on NJITHighlanders.com.

Senior Night
In pregame ceremonies, NJIT will honor its graduating seniors – Amit Magoz, Asembo Augo, Goncalo Franco, Justin Aguirre-Rosas, Matt Moran, Raz Amir and Sokol Ymeraj

Highlanders Streak
NJIT is undefeated in the last five-out-of-six matches, with back-to-back wins at home over UAlbany (W, 2-1) and Drexel (W, 2-1).  The Highlanders started off the stretch with a tie against Delawre to open the month of October, dropped a 2-0 decision at Vermont after the match was held scoreless for 75 minutes.  NJIT most recently tied UMass Lowell, 1-1, on October 26.

Last Time Out
The NJIT men's soccer team played to a 1-1 draw on the road at UMass Lowell Saturday evening in men's soccer America East Conference action at Cushion Field.

The River Hawks held a 1-0 lead at the half but the Highlanders knotted the match at 1-1 in the 60th minute on a successful penalty kick by graduate student Sokol Ymeraj.

Scouting New Hampshire
New Hampshire enters Friday's match with a 6-3-5 overall mark and 3-1-1 in the America East.

The Wildcats have won their last three matches, most recently a 5-1 win over UAlbany.

Matthew Goncalves combined for a hat trick against UAlbany, earning America East Offensive Player of the Week while Arian Recinos tabbed America East Rookie of the Week honors.

Goncalves is first in the conference in goals (9) and is tied for first in points (18). His three game-winning goals are also tied for the lead in the league. 

The Wildcats are undefeated in their last seven-out-of-eight matches with its lone loss against Binghamton.

Next Up
NJIT will conclude its regular season on the road on November 5 at UMBC.  Kickoff is slated for 7pm on ESPN+.
