NEWARK. N.J. — The NJIT women's tennis team wrapped up its season-long five-match homestand with a Saturday doubleheader, welcoming Delaware and Wagner to the Naimoli Family Athletic and Recreational Facility.

While the Highlanders' four-match win streak was snapped by Delaware, they were able to bounce back with a victory over Wagner to close out the homestand with a 4-1 record.

Junior Sandra Dzhambazov was a standout of the day as she went 3-1 on the day: 2-0 in singles, including a come-from-behind three-setter at No. 2 against Delaware; and a 1-1 split in her doubles matches. Freshman Laura Wipfli also went 3-1 on the day after winning both her doubles matches and splitting in singles.

NEXT UP
NJIT will have nearly two weeks to prepare for its next match, a February 24 road match against LIU.
