NEWARK, NJ–The NJIT men's soccer team will play in its third America East Conference semifinal match on Wednesday, November 8 when No. 5 NJIT visits No. 1 New Hampshire.
Two Wins Over Vermont a Nationally Ranked Top 15 Team
NJIT upset then-ranked No. 15 Vermont on October 7, 1-0, for the program's first win over a United Soccer Coaches top-25 team since 2015 and the Highlanders took down No. 14 Vermont in the America East Quarterfinals, 2-1, on November 4, for the programs second win over the Catamounts this season.
Game Information
The match will be played at Wildcat Stadium on the campus of New Hampshire with kickoff slated for 6pm on ESPN+. In-game statistics will be available on UNHWildcats.com.
All-Time Series
UNH leads the all-time series 3-0. Wednesday will be the first postseason meeting between the two teams. Earlier this season, then-ranked No. 19 UNH topped the Highlanders, 2-1, on October 21.

The America East is ranked #5 as a conference behind the Pac-12, ACC, Sun Belt and Big Ten. The America East currently has five teams in the top-65 of RPI. New Hampshire ranks fifth, Bryant (21st), Vermont (24th), NJIT (42nd) and UMBC (66th).
Tied for 9th in the Nation in Assists
Sophomore Maximus Barboto, the 2022 America East Conference Rookie of the Year, sits tied for ninth in the nation in assists with 9.
The nine assists in a single season is a new NJIT Division I record and his 13 career assists ranks fifth all-time in the NJIT Division I era.
Graduate Student Goalkeeper Samuel Reisgys
Goalkeeper Samuel Reisgys, the Highlanders all-time career saves leader with 298 career saves, played in his 77 career match, surpassing Rene White '21 (76) and becoming the NJIT DI leader in career matches.
