WALTHAM, MA–Senior Kevin Katayama and freshman Niels Roubailo registered 12 wins apiece at the Eric Sollee Invitational hosted by Brandeis this weekend.
NJIT picked up wins against host Brandeis (14-13), Haverford (16-11) and Yeshiva (23-1).
Katayama, competing in the men's foil competition, recorded a 12-3 overall mark (80% winning percentage) followed by Roubailo, competing in the men's epee competition with a 12-4 mark (75% winning percentage).
Graduate student Robert Hondor combined for a 9-5 mark in the epee competition.
Freshman Adrian Figueredo went 11-7 in the men's saber competition. Sophomore Christopher Cortez recorded eight wins.
NJIT will return to action on Sunday, February 5 at the MACFA B Round Robin at Stevens.
