DeKalb, IL - The NJIT women's volleyball team wrapped up its weekend in the Chicago suburbs on Saturday, falling to South Dakota State on Victor E. Court on the campus of Northern Illinois University.
The Jackrabbits took the first set 25-19 and the second set 25-13, before clinching the match with a 25-13 third-set victory.
Asher Vallone led the Highlanders in kills for the second time in three matches, recording seven on the afternoon as
Ines Varela chipped in with six.
Juliana Impaglia and
Maddie Dennis shared the setting duties and each dished out eight assists, while
Kelle Anwander led the way with three block assists.
The Highlanders return to action on Tuesday when they host Saint Peter's in their home opener. First serve is slated for 6pm at the Wellness and Events Center.
