NEWARK, NJ–The NJIT women's basketball team will have a quick turnaround and host UMass Lowell on Monday in a pivotal America East Conference women's basketball matchup inside NJIT's Wellness and Events Center.

Game Information
Tip-off is slated for 7pm inside NJIT's Wellness and Events Center and for those not able to attend the game can watch televised on ESPN+ with in-game statistics available on NJITHighlanders.com.

Equality and Inclusion can pertain to racial equality, LGBTQ+ rights, gender equity, economic equality and more.  Hosting this campaign is an opportunity for college basketball to let the world know that they will continue to stand up for Equality and Inclusion.

The purpose of this campaign is to continue to raise awareness for equality and inclusion for all people. Sports have the unique ability to unite people from all different backgrounds. It's important that we use the platform our sport has given us to keep Equality and Inclusion at the forefront of the national conversation.

UMass Lowell leads the series, 4-2.

NJIT picked up a 60-50 victory at UMass Lowell five days ago, behind three players reaching double-figures paced by a team-best 17 points from Kenna Squier.

America East Conference Postseason Tournament
The Highlanders currently hold the four seed (13-12, 8-6 America East) in the 2022 America East Conference Tournament scheduled for next month with three league games remaining on the schedule – Monday, February 21 vs. UMass Lowell (9-13, 6-7 America East), Wednesday, February 23 at New Hampshire (6-19, 3-11 America East) and Saturday, February 26 vs. Hartford (2-23, 2-12 America East).

13 Wins for the Highlanders
NJIT recorded its 13th win of the season at UMass Lowell on Wednesday, February 16.  The 13 wins are the second highest win total for NJIT at the Division I level.

The 16 wins in 2012-13 is the highest wins total in the Division I era (began 2006-07) when the Highlanders captured the 2013 Great West Conference Tournament title.

Last Time Out
Visiting Maine outscored the Highlanders 23-4 in the first quarter and was led by a double-double from Maeve Carroll who finished with 20 points and 12 rebounds as Maine defeated NJIT, 77-43, Saturday afternoon in America East Conference women's basketball action inside NJIT's Wellness and Events Center.

The Black Bears extend its win streak to nine games, improving to 15-10 overall, 12-3 in the America East while the Highlanders, who will look to bounce back into the win column on Monday against UMass Lowell, moves to 13-12 overall, 8-6 in the America East.

Next Up
NJIT will wrap up its road America East Conference schedule on Wednesday at New Hampshire.  Tip-off is slated for 6pm on ESPN+.

In the first meeting of the season, NJIT defeated the Wildcats, 64-48, in Newark on February 9.
