Play4Kay
Each year, the NJIT Women's Basketball team takes part in a Play4Kay game in conjunction with the Kay Yow Cancer Fund.

Coach Kay Yow was passionate about uniting the nation of coaches, players and the women's basketball community to do something for the greater good that far exceeds wins and losses on the court. The Play 4 Kay campaign was born in 2007 and continues to grow as it raises funds to support women's cancer research.

13 Wins for the Highlanders
NJIT recorded its 13th win of the season at UMass Lowell on Wednesday, February 16.  The 13 wins are the second highest win total for NJIT at the Division I level.

The 16 wins in 2012-13 is the highest wins total in the Division I era (began 2006-07) when the Highlanders captured the 2013 Great West Conference Tournament title.

Winners of Three in a Row
The Highlanders, winners of three consecutive games, improved to 13-11 on the season and 8-5 in the league.  The eight wins in America East play is a program-best since joining the league in June 2020 and the Highlanders currently hold the four seed in the 2022 America East Conference Tournament scheduled for next month with four league games remaining on the schedule.

Last Time Out
The NJIT women's basketball team won its third straight game of the season behind three players reaching double-figures paced by a team-best 17 points from Kenna Squier in the Highlanders 60-50 road victory at UMass Lowell in America East Conference women's basketball action on Wednesday evening at Costello Athletic Center.

Scouting Maine
Maine (14-10, 11-3) enters Saturday on an eight-win streak, recently defeating Hartford, 71-56.  The 11 wins is the fifth straight season of 10 or more wins for the Black Bears.

The eight game win streak is the 13th longest active win streak in the nation.

The Bears defeated the top-two team in the America East standings last week (UAlbany & Stony Brook) and became the first team all season to win at Stony Brook, snapping the Seawolves' 11-game win streak.

Next Up
NJIT will host UMass Lowell on Monday, February 21 at 7pm inside NJIT's Wellness and Events Center on Equality and Inclusion Night.

In the first meeting, NJIT defeated the Riverhawks, 60-50, behind three double-figure scorers.
