HOBOKEN, NJ–The NJIT men's fencing team recorded a 3-0 record at the MACFA B vs. C Invitational hosted by Stevens Sunday afternoon.

NJIT picked up wins over: William & Mary (23-4), Navy (15-12) and Haverford (22-5).

The men's foil strip recorded a 27-0 mark, which was led by Cristian Candescu (8-0) followed by Thomas Manley (7-0), Kevin Katayama (6-0) and Josh Schaefer (6-0).

In epee competition, Daniel Freeman led the squad with four total wins while Brett Bogert, Robert Hondor, Rourke Hillyer and Tristan Gibson each notched three wins.

Pedro D'Avila and Christopher Cortez paced the saber squad with six wins each.

NJIT will break until March 6 when the Highlanders compete at the MACFA Championships hosted by Drew in Madison, NJ.
