NEWARK, NJ - The NJIT women's volleyball team suffered a setback in straight sets on Sunday, falling to visiting Bryant at the Wellness and Events Center. 
Prior to and throughout the match, NJIT honored its five seniors - 
Katelyn Bliesner, 
Courtney Branch, 
Emma Godwin Juliana Impaglia, and 
Adriana Goetz-Morales - in the program's annual Senior Day festivities. The NJIT women's volleyball class of 2023 has been instrumental in leading the team to eight wins so far this season, the most for the program since 2017.
All five seniors started Sunday's match and performed well as Goetz-Morales led the Highlanders with eight kills, closely followed by Bliesner, who sent down a season-high seven, one off of her career high. Both Goetz-Morales and Bliesner also had three blocks, while Branch chipped in with five kills and a block. 
Impaglia handled the setting duties and dished out 29 assists to go along with eight digs in the three-set match, while Godwin contributed both offensively and defensively with five kills and six digs. 
The Highlanders wrap up their 2022 season next Sunday when they travel to New Hampshire. First serve is slated for 1pm in Durham, NH.
