Newark, NJ - David Marcano and Julio Marcano, brothers and seniors on the NJIT baseball team, recently sat down with Myles Rudnick of the Highlander Sports Network to give an update on what they've been doing this summer and discuss their excitement to return to NJIT in the fall. 

The Marcanos have been playing for the Amarillo Sod Squad in the Texas Collegiate League for the last few weeks. The Sod Squad plays its home games in the stadium the Amarillo Sod Poodles (San Diego Padres AA Affiliate) call home and the Marcanos talked highly of the competition in the league and how it has made them feel like professionals. 

Both players started all 16 games for NJIT last spring in a season cut short due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and are excited to take on more of a leadership role as seniors in 2021.
