NEWARK, NJ--
The NJIT women's basketball team will conclude the 2020 campaign on Monday, March 2 at North Alabama at Flowers Hall.  The game will tip-off at 6pm (CT) on ESPN+.

 

Last Time Out
Kennesaw State had six players reach double-figures, defeating visiting NJIT, 85-62 in ASUN Conference women's basketball action Saturday afternoon at the KSU Convocation Center.

 

NJIT's Ellyn Stoll registered a career-best 25 points on 9-of-12 shooting from the field and 5-of-6 from three-point range.  

 

Freshman guard Kenna Squier combined for 15 points, five rebounds and five assists while senior forward Danielle Tunstall chipped in 10 points and led all players with eight rebounds on the boards, nearly missing a double-double.  

 

Milena Bajic added six points off the bench for the Highlanders.

Scouting the Highlanders
NJIT is led by two double-figure scorers -- Danielle Tunstall (12.9ppg) and Kenna Squier (10.9ppg).

 

Tunstall, the Highlander forward, has registered 19 double-doubles for her career (nine for the season) while posting 18 double-figure contests, including five 20-point performances.  Her 8.8rpg ranks Tunstall third in the ASUN.

Squier, the freshman guard has combined for 16 double-digit games, including the last six-out-of-nine contests.  She dished out a career-best eight assists at Lipscomb.

Scouting the Lions
North Alabama (19-8, 10-5 ASUN) upset No. 23 FGCU led by Emma Wallen's game-high 22 points.  The win represented the first victory over a ranked opponent for the Lions and a rare loss for the Eagles who entered the day undefeated in league play, including a 42-game conference winning streak that dates back to the 2017-18 season.  The Lions will conclude the regular season on Monday hosting the Highlanders.

UNA's top scorer Ivy Wallen ranks third in the ASUN in scoring at 15.7ppg while also leading the Lions with 196 assists.

Sister Emma Wallen is averaging 12.4ppg and tops the team with 62 three-point field goals while Brittany Panetti is averaging 10.4ppg.  Panetti's field goal percentage (58.2) ranks second in the ASUN.

Kenyesha Coulson three-point percentage (43.8) ranks third in the ASUN
