NEWARK, NJ--The NJIT women's basketball team will hit the road for a two-game ASUN Conference road trip at Liberty on Saturday and Lipscomb on Monday.  The game vs. Liberty will tip-off at 2pm while the contest at Lipscomb is slated for 6:30pm (ET).

Last Time Out
NJIT senior forward Danielle Tunstall combined for her second straight double-double of the season with 20 points and 15 rebounds, leading the Highlanders to a 60-56 victory over visiting North Florida to conclude a three-game ASUN Conference homestand inside NJIT's Wellness and Events Center.

NJIT snapped a 13-game skid and recorded its first ASUN win of the season.

Tunstall, the Highlanders forward from Willingboro, NJ, posted her 18th career double-double (seventh of the season), leading three double-figure scorers with 20 points and 15 rebounds.  Junior guard Ellyn Stoll chipped in 12 points while freshman Kenna Squier added 11 for the home team.

The Highlanders held a one-rebound advantage over the Ospreys, 42-to-41, paced by Tunstall's career-best 15 rebounds (pulled down 15 at Air Force; 11.8.19) followed by Squier (6), Stoll (5) and Samantha Schultz (5).  Schultz finished with seven points on 3-of-6 shooting for the Highlanders off the bench.

All-Time Series vs. Liberty
Saturday will mark the fourth meeting between the two schools with Liberty holding a 3-0 all-time record.  The Flames defeated the Highlanders 67-53 in the ASUN season opener on January 4 in Newark. Tunstall posted 19 points and nine rebounds for NJIT.

All-Time Series vs. Lipscomb
NJIT leads the all-time series against Lipscomb, 5-4.  In the first meeting of the season on January 20, the Lady Bisons exploded for 44 second-half points led by three double-figures, defeating NJIT 65-57.  Tunstall paced the Highlanders with 14 points and 14 rebounds.

Scouting the Highlanders
NJIT got back into the win column on Monday, snapping a 13-game skid with a 60-56 home victory over North Florida.  Prior to Monday's win, the Highlanders last won on December 7 at Hartford, which capped a three-game win streak for NJIT.

The Highlanders are led by two double-figure scorers -- Danielle Tunstall (13.0ppg) and Kenna Squier (11.0ppg).  

Tunstall is coming off back-to-back double-doubles, including a monster game against the Ospreys, combining for 20 points and career-best 15 rebounds.  The Highlander forward has posted double-digits in the last three games, averaging 14.0ppg and 11.6rpg. Her 8.9rpg ranks third in the ASUN.

Junior guard Ellyn Stoll paces the Highlanders with 37 three-pointers, including a season-best five against Kennesaw State on January 18.

Scouting the Flames
Liberty enters Saturday's contest with a 13-11 overall mark, 6-5 in ASUN action, which sits in in a three-way tie for third place with Jacksonville and North Florida.  

The Flames are coming off a close 65-59 win over Jacksonville, outscoring the Dolphins 24-10 during the fourth quarter.  Five players reached double-digits led by Keyen Green with 13 points. Green, who has scored in double-digits in 10-of-11 ASUN games, ranks second in the ASUN in field goal percentage (59 percent) while leading the Flames in points (14.3ppg) and rebounding (7.7rpg).

Liberty's Emily Lytle is the other double-figure scorer averaging 10.1ppg and tops the team with 37 three-point field goals.  She has posted four straight double-digit scoring efforts, hitting 13 three-pointers during the stretch.

Scouting the Lady Bisons
Lipscomb will open a two-game homestand inside Allen Arena, hosting No. 22 FGCU on Saturday followed by NJIT on Monday at 6:30pm (ET).

The Lady Bisons (5-19, 2-9 ASUN) have lost five straight, most recently a high-scoring game at North Alabama, dropping a 91-58 decision.

Lipscomb has two players averaging double-figures led by Jalyn Holcomb (13.7ppg) and Taylor Clark (13.4ppg).  Clark tops the team on the boards, averaging 5.3rpg.

In the Lady Bisons win at NJIT earlier this season, Clark led all scorers with 19 points followed by Jalyn Holcomb (18 points) and Casey Collier (15 points).

Next Up
NJIT will wrap up the home portion of its schedule with a two-game homestand hosting FGCU on February 22, which will mark Senior Day for three graduating seniors -- Danielle Tunstall, Milena Bajic and Tracey Brereton.  Tip-off will be slated for 1pm. The home season will conclude on Monday, February 24 at 7pm, welcoming Stetson to NJIT's Wellness and Events Center. Both games will be streamed live on ESPN+.
