NEWARK, NJ—NJIT will make its first road trip to Florida in ASUN Conference play, first visiting North Florida on January 11 at 1pm and Jacksonville on Monday at 7pm.

North Florida leads the all-time series, 6-3. The Ospreys have won the last two meetings while the Highlanders last won, 66-62, on February 17, 2018 in Jacksonville.

Despite 19 points and nine rebounds from NJIT senior forward
Danielle Tunstall, Liberty opened up ASUN Conference action with a 67-53 win at NJIT paced by a game-high Keyen Green inside NJIT's Wellness and Events Center Saturday afternoon.
NJIT, which led by two at the half, 30-28, was outscored in the second half 39-23 as the Flames held on for a 67-53 ASUN victory.

Scouting the Highlanders
NJIT (3-11, 0-1 ASUN) will look to snap a five-game skid on Saturday at 1pm. NJIT last won on December 7, 61-52, at Harford, which saw the Highlanders win three straight in the stretch.
The Highlanders are led by senior
Danielle Tunstall's 13.4ppg and 9.1rpg. The forward from Willingboro, NJ, has netted double-digits in the scoring column in eight of the last nine games with a high of season-high 22 points at Wagner. Tunstall has combined for four double-doubles in the stretch. Her 9.1rpg ranks second in the ASUN.

The ASUN Conference announced its official Preseason All-Conference team and Coaches' Polls and the Highlanders were selected to finish eighth out of nine teams the league office.
Scouting the Ospreys
North Florida, winners of its last three-out-of-four games, is coming off its first ASUN Conference win, 64-55, at Kennesaw State on January 6. The Ospreys enter Saturday's game with an 8-7 overall mark and an even 1-1 in the league.
The Ospreys, held to just nine points in the third quarter, surged back and outscored Kennesaw State, 24-10, in the fourth quarter, led by three double-figure players — Janesha Green (17pts, 6rebs), Adrienne Jackson (14pts, 7rebs) and Dash Eremeeva (13pts, 7rebs).
North Florida is one-of-four teams in the ASUN has three players averaging double-digits, led by Green (13.4ppg), Jazz Bond (12.5ppg) and Adrienne Jackson (10.8ppg). North Florida also is the only team to have three players grabbing at least six rebounds a game in Jackson (7.8rpg), Bond (7.7rpg) and Eremeeva (6.6rpg).
