Last Time Out
Kennesaw State used a 16-0 run late in the fourth quarter to secure its second straight win in league action at NJIT, 77-64, Saturday afternoon in ASUN Conference action at NJIT's Wellness and Events Center.
NJIT, trailing by just two in the fourth quarter 59-57 just under the five-minute mark, was outscored 16-0 over next four minutes as the Owls ended its late run on a 18-6 spurt, securing a 77-64 victory.
Down 37-25 at the half, NJIT exploded for 21 third-quarter points, outscoring the Owls, 21-10, and trailing by just one, 47-46, heading into the fourth quarter. NJIT's Milena Bajic scored eight points while Ellyn Stoll netted seven points in the quarter.
NJIT was led by junior guard Ellyn Stoll's career-best 21 points on 6-of-11 shooting from the field and 5-of-7 from three-point range. Stoll shared team-high honors with Maddie Martin, dishing out four assists each. Milena Bajic was the Highlanders other double-figure scorer, netting 14 points and grabbing six rebounds, which was a team-best.
Scouting the Highlanders
NJIT (3-14, 0-4 ASUN) will look to snap a eight-game skid and record its first win in the ASUN Conference this season on Monday at 2pm against the Lady Bisons from Lipscomb.
Danielle Tunstall is the only player averaging double-figures, leading the Highlanders with 12.8ppg, 8.4rpg and 28 total blocks followed by Kenna Squier, who is just shy averaging double-figures at 9.9ppg and pulling down 4.6rpg.
Freshman three-point shooter Dani Evans ranks third in the ASUN in three-point percentage at 44.8 percent (13-for-29).
Scouting the Lady Bisons
Lipscomb enters Monday's game with a 4-14 overall mark, 1-4 in ASUN action under first-year head coach Lauren Sumski.
The Lady Bisons, which have one win in ASUN action, a 65-59 win at Stetson on January 6, and went to overtime on Saturday with Liberty, falling short, 64-60.
Jayln Holcomb paces the Lady Bison offense averaging 14.3ppg followed by Taylor Clark (13.4ppg) and Dorie Harrison (10.4ppg).

NJIT will make its second ASUN Conference road trip of the season this weekend, traveling to Fort Myers, Florida to face FGCU on Saturday at 4pm and make a trip up to DeLand, Florida and tip-off against Stetson on Monday at 7pm. Both games will be streamed live on ESPN+.
