NEWARK, NJ--The NJIT women's volleyball team will play its eighth-straight match away from home when it travels to play Siena on Wednesday, September 18.
Last Time Out
NJIT dropped all three if its matches in Connecticut last weekend, falling to Sacred Heart and Northeastern in straight sets and Fairfield in three sets.

Honor Roll
Two freshmen - Merritt and Branch - and Busler, a senior. have each picked up an All-Tournament Team honor so far this season. Merritt was honored for her performance at the Terrier Classic in Brooklyn, Busler was rewarded for her efforts at the FDU Knights Classic in Hackensack, NJ, and Branch was named to the All-Tournament Team following her strong play at the Sacred Heart Invitational.
Scouting Siena
The Saints enter Wednesday's match, their home opener, with a 3-5 record and are looking to tie their 2018 win total of four. Siena's wins have come against St. Francis (Brooklyn), Merrimack and Hampton.
Series History
Wednesday's match is the second all-time between Siena and NJIT. The squads met for the first time last season on Halloween when the Saints rallied from a 2-0 deficit to defeat the Highlanders in five sets.
UP NEXT
NJIT returns to action on Saturday and Sunday when it travels to Baltimore for the Tiger Invitational, hosted by Towson. The Highlanders will play the host Tigers on Saturday at 12:30pm, before taking on New Hampshire and Loyola on Sunday at 10am and 3:30pm, respectively.
