NEWARK, NJ--NJIT (5-21, 2-11 ASUN) will visit Lipscomb (3-23, 1-12 ASUN) in a mid-week contest on Wednesday at 7:30pm (ET) inside Allen Arena.
NJIT is currently sitting in eighth, just above Lipscomb, who the Highlanders defeated on January 15, 80-67, in Newark.
With a win by NJIT on Wednesday, the Highlanders will have clinched a spot in the eight-team ASUN Conference Tournament, beginning on March 8.

Last Time Out vs. Lipscomb
Graduate student
Kelly Guarino scored a team-high 20 points, leading four double-figure scorers in the Highlanders 80-67 home victory over visiting Lipscomb in ASUN Conference action.
Guarino, who scored 12 of her 20 points in the second half, finished 4-for-10 from three-point range and a perfect 6-of-6 from the free throw line. Her five assists is a season-best mark.
In addition to Guarino, graduate student
Tatianna Torres, just missed posting a double-double, netting 16 points and nine rebounds. Torres led the game dishing out seven assists and the Highlanders as a team finished with a season-best 24.
Lipscomb Lady Bisons
Lipscomb, who returns back to action for the first time in a week, dropped an 80-46 decision to FGCU. The game was played at Belmont's Curb Event Center after a power outage at Allen Arena.
The Lady Bisons lone ASUN win of the season happened last Saturday, taking down Jacksonville 61-58 to end a 19-game losing streak. Junior Carleigh Short was named the ASUN Player of the Week after scoring a career-high 22 points, and Kailey Rosenbaum earned her second ASUN Freshman of the Week honor thanks to 16 points and seven rebounds.
Sophomore Taylor Clark has scored in double-figures 14 of the 20 games she has played so far this season. She leads the team in scoring with an 10.8 mark.
NJIT Notes
NJIT enters Wednesday's contest on a 10-game skid, most recently falling at Jacksonville, 69-55.

Ellyn Stoll's 14 points, who connected on 4-of-8 from three-point range while adding four assists. Graduate student
Tatianna Torres finished with 13 points and three bounds followed by junior forward
Danielle Tunstall with 11 points, four rebounds and two steals. Sophomore forward
Dez Allen added six points, six rebounds, three steals and two assists for the Highlanders.
The last time the Highlanders won was against the Lady Bisons, 80-67, on January 15.
Guarino paces the team with 12.7 points per game, while
Danielle Tunstall adds 11.2 points per contest. Tunstall ranks in the top five in the ASUN in rebounding at 7.6.

NJIT will close out the home portion of its schedule on Saturday at 1pm against Liberty inside NJIT's Wellness and Events Center.
