NEWARK, NJ--NJIT (5-20, 2-10 ASUN) will head south to visit Jacksonville (13-13, 6-7 ASUN) on Saturday at The Historic Swisher Gymnasium. Tip-off is slated for 1pm on ESPN+.
NJIT has four games remaining in the regular season and need to finish in the top eight of the ASUN Conference to secure a spot in the eight-team postseason tournament.
The Highlanders currently sit in eighth, just above Lipscomb, who the Highlanders defeated on January 15, 80-67, in Newark. The two teams will face each other in Nashville on February 27 at 6:30pm (CT).

Scouting Jacksonville
Jacksonville enters Saturday's contest with an even 13-13 overall mark and 6-7 in the ASUN, clinching a spot in the ASUN Conference Tournament.
Most recently, the Dolphins are coming off a 75-63 River City Rumble victory over visiting North Florida. Prior to the win over the Ospreys, the Dolphins had dropped its previous two games (at Lipscomb and at Stetson).
Jasmyn Brown paces the Dolphins, averaging 15.1ppg, which ranks tied for fourth in the ASUN. Trudy Walker ranks second at 10.2ppg followed by Rolanda Hayes at 8.2ppg.
Walker tops the ASUN in rebounding with 10.1rpg and is third in the league in field goal percentage at 56.0.
Darnell Haney, in his first season as head coach at Jacksonville, served as associate head coach the last two seasons under former head coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin, who recently departed for Ole Miss.
In the 2017-18 season, Jacksonville won a program-best 24 games (24-9), eclipsing the previous record of 23 tied by the previous year's squad.
