NEWARK, NJ--The NJIT women's basketball team will look for its first win of the 2019 season on Tuesday at 7pm when the Highlanders visit Wagner at the Spiro Sports Center.

Last Time Out
Cornell exploded for 26 second quarter points led by two double-figure scorers for the Big Red, topping the visiting Highlanders, 68-44, in women's basketball non-conference action at Newman Arena.

Scouting the Highlanders
The youthful Highlander squad has been led through five games by junior guard
Ellyn Stoll and freshman guard
Kenna Squier, who are averaging 8.8 and 8.4 points, respectively.

Danielle Tunstall has paced the Highlanders in rebounding, collecting 9.8 rebounds per game.
Scouting the Seahawks
Wagner, winners of its last two contests, enter Tuesday's contest with a 2-2 overall mark.
The Seahawks defeated UMBC 67-60 behind three double-figure scorers led by sophomore Emilija Krista Grava, recording a team-high 24 points on 10-of-15 shooting while also pulling down seven rebounds in 37 minutes of action.
Kristia Grava exploded for a 45-point outburst, including the game-winner with 0.4 second left against Saint Peter's in Wagner 90-89 victory.
Krista Grava paces the Seahawks in scoring (23.8ppg), field goal percentage (42-69; 60.9) and total blocks (5).
Next Up
NJIT will have a week off and return to action on Tuesday at home when the Highlanders host St. Francis Brooklyn. Tip-off is slated for 7pm inside the Wellness and Events Center before Thanksgiving break.
