NEWARK, NJ—For the first time in the Division I era, the NJIT men's soccer team (10-4-4) will make an appearance in the 2019 NCAA Tournament when the Highlanders visit Providence (14-6) on Thursday, November 21 at Chapey Field at Anderson Stadium. Kick-off is slated for 7pm on the BIG EAST Digital Network.
The Highlanders will make a trip up to Rhode Island for a match against BIG EAST member, Providence in the first round of the tournament.
The winner will advance and play at No. 15 Penn State (12-3-3) on Sunday, November 24 in University Park, PA.

Fan Bus
You bring the noise, We bring the ride!
The NJIT Men's Soccer team will take on Providence College in the first round of the NCAA Division I Tournament! The game will take place at Providence this Thursday at 7PM! It will be the programs first time making the NCAA playoffs since becoming a Division I program!
Athletics is providing a fan bus to and from the game. Snacks on the bus, a pre-game tailgate and tickets for this historic game will be $20 per NJIT student!
The bus will depart from the front of the Wellness and Events Center (WEC) on Lock Street near the light rail at 12 Noon SHARP on Thursday. The bus will depart from Providence at the conclusion of the game, and return to the campus of NJIT around 1AM.

NCAA Tournament
The 48-team field and bracket for the 2019 NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championship was announced Monday. Competition begins with the First Round on Thursday, November 21. The top 16 teams in the field will receive byes and compete in the Second Round on Sunday, November 24. Both rounds will be held on campus sites.
