NEWARK, NJ--The NJIT women's volleyball team wraps it its 2019 season on Sunday when it hosts its annual Senior Day match, taking on Stetson in ASUN Conference action at 3pm in the WEC.
Core Four
Before Sunday's match, NJIT will honor its four seniors -Ā
Liz Benson,Ā
Madi Busler,Ā
Alahna Diaz, andĀ
Olivia Welsch. All four have played major roles for the program over the last few years. This season, Benson leads the squad in assists, Busler is tops in kills and Welsch has played every set as the team's libero and leads the Highlanders in digs. Diaz started the first few matches of the year before suffering a season-ending injury.
All four seniors recently sat down with the Highlander Sports Network's Matt Provence to discuss their student-athlete experience at NJIT.

Courtney BranchĀ earned All-Tournament Team recognition at the Sacred Heart Invitational.Ā
Series History
Stetson owns a 6-3 series advantage over the Highlanders including a sweep earlier this season in Florida. All nine previous matches have taken place since NJIT joined the ASUN.Ā
