NEWARK, NJ--The NJIT women's volleyball team returns home for its final two matches of the 2019 season, getting things started on Friday by hosting Florida Gulf Coast in ASUN Conference action at 6pm in the WEC.
Last Time Out
NJIT led 2-1 after three sets at North Alabama, before ultimately falling 3-2 to the host Lions in an ASUN contest.

Honor Roll
NJIT players have picked up All-Tournament Team honors at each of the squad's four weekend events this season.
Sarah Merritt was named to the All-Tournament Team at the season-opening Terrier Classic and the Tiger Invitational. while
Madi Busler was named to the All-Tournament Team at the FDU Knights Fall Classic and
Courtney Branch earned All-Tournament Team recognition at the Sacred Heart Invitational.
Scouting FGCU
The Eagles enter Friday's match in first place in the ASUN with a 13-2 conference record and having already clinched at least a share of the ASUN Regular Season Championship. With a win on Friday, the Eagles would clinch the outright title and the number one overall seed in the upcoming ASUN Tournament, which they will host. FGCU enters Friday's match with a 15-1 record in its last 16 matches.
Series History
FGCU owns a 9-0 series advantage over the Highlanders including a sweep earlier this season in Ft. Myers. All nine matches have come since NJIT entered the ASUN five years ago.

The Highlanders will wrap up their 2019 season on Sunday with their annual Senior Day match against Stetson. First serve is slated for 3pm in the WEC and seniors
