NEWARK, NJ--The NJIT women's volleyball team returns home for an ASUN Conference match it hosts Liberty on Friday at 3pm in the Wellness and Events Center. 

Last Time Out
NJIT wrapped up its non-conference slate on Wednesday, falling to host Manhattan in straight sets.

Honor Roll
NJIT players have picked up All-Tournament Team honors at each of the squad's four weekend events this season. Sarah Merritt was named to the All-Tournament Team at the season-opening Terrier Classic and the Tiger Invitational. while Madi Busler was named to the All-Tournament Team at the FDU Knights Fall Classic and Courtney Branch earned All-Tournament Team recognition at the Sacred Heart Invitational. 

Scouting Liberty
Liberty enters Friday's match at NJIT in fourth place in the ASUN standings. The Flames lost their last two, falling in five sets to Stetson and four sets at Kennesaw State. Anna Gragg was picked to the 2019 ASUN Preseason  All-Conference team and is hitting .410 this season to rank first on the flames and second in the ASUN in that category. Gragg is one of three Liberty players with at least 170 kills this season, joining teammates Amelia Johnson and Casey Goodwin. Johnson's 293 kills are the third most in the ASUN.
 
Series History
Friday's match will be the fourth meeting between the Highlanders and Flames. Liberty swept the season series last year and defeated NJIT in straight sets earlier this season at the Vines Center in Lynchburg.

UP NEXT
Following Friday's match, the Highlanders will hit the road to take on Kennesaw State on Tuesday at 11am in Georgia.
