NJIT will host visiting Stetson on Saturday at 1pm in the Wellness and Events Center on Senior Day.

The Highlanders (3-21, 1-8 ASUN) are coming off a 61-58 home loss to Lipscomb while Stetson (14-11, 5-4 ASUN) fell 61-54 to Jacksonville.

A simple way to find ESPN3 is on NJIT's official athletics website, http://www.njithighlanders.com. Near the middle of the home page NJIT TV section, click Upcoming Events for a list of scheduled NJIT contests. After finding the event, click the camera icon to the right of the event listing. That brings you to an ESPN3 portal where you can access the desired program.

Starting in January, every NJIT game played in the ASUN Conference, home and away, throughout the regular season and into the ASUN postseason tournament will be covered on ESPN3.

Senior Day
NJIT will honor its two graduating seniors – Kelly Guarino and Taj Lewis in pregame ceremonies. 

Guarino, who has overcome four knee surgeries, will conclude her career at NJIT, playing in 71 games, knocking down 159 three-pointers while shooting 35.1 percent (159-for-455).

Lewis, a junior college transfer from Roxbury Community College, played her final two seasons as a Highlander.  This season, Lewis paces the Highlanders shooting 52.7 percent, which also leads the ASUN Conference.

All-Time Series
Stetson leads the all-time series, 5-0.

In the last meeting, Brittney Chambers registered a double-double (24 points, 11 rebounds) to lead Stetson to a 73-55 win.

Senior forward Taj Lewis, who scored 15 points off the bench for NJIT.  Lewis finished 7-for-14 from the field and grabbed a team-high seven rebounds.
 
Scouting the Hatters
The Hatters (14-11, 5-4 ASUN) remain tied for third place in the ASUN standings following a 2-2 stretch against Jacksonville and North Florida.

Stetson is coming off a 61-54 loss against Jacksonville.  Brittney Chambers posted her sixth double-double of the season – 16 points and 10 rebounds while Michelle Pruitt and McKenna Beach added 11 points apiece.  Jordan Tully grabbed eight rebounds and Megan Vincent recorded four blocks.

Chambers is averaging 17.9 points and 8.8 rebounds per game, with four double-doubles.  Kennedy Colclough ranks second on the team at 13.0ppg, 5.8rpg.

McKenna Beach, who is averaging 11.9 ppg, needs just three more assists to reach the 100-assist mark on the season for the first time in her career.

Megan Vincent paces the ASUN in blocks with 38 while teammate Jordan Tully has 17 on the season.

Scouting NJIT
The Highlanders (3-21, 1-8 ASUN) are coming off a 61-58 home loss to Lipscomb.

With NJIT leading by five, 55-50, with 2:42 left to play, Kennesaw State scored six straight points, gaining its first lead of the game, 56-55, with 1:29 on the clock after a layup by Street.

Poole put the Owls up by two, 58-56, on a layup with :46 remaining but the Highlanders (3-21, 1-8 ASUN) knotted the game at 58 on basket by Jillian Libby with :15 left to play.

After back-to-back timeouts by Kennesaw State, the Owls got the ball to Street, who drove the lane, scored the basket and made the free throw to complete the three-point play to give the Owls the 61-58 victory.

NJIT's Tatianna Torres paces the team in four categories—points (11.8ppg), tied in rebounds (5.6rpg) assists (80) and steals (47).  She has recorded at least one steal in 23-out-of-24 games and two assists in 22-out-of-24 games.  Torres ranks fourth in steals and sixthassists in the ASUN.

Guarino is the Highlanders other double-digit scorer at 10.6ppg.  Her 38.1 three-point field goal percentage ranks third in the ASUN (40-for-105).

Lewis, who ranks first in the ASUN in field goal percentage, is shooting 52.7 percent while averaging 9.5ppg.

NJIT will conclude the home portion of its schedule, hosting first-place FGCU on Monday at 7pm on ESPN3.
