The NJIT women's basketball team will conclude its regular season on Saturday at 1pm when the Highlanders visit USC Upstate at G.B. Hodge Stadium.
The Highlanders (4-24, 2-11 ASUN) are coming off a 73-53 loss at Jacksonville while USC Upstate (10-18, 5-8 ASUN) is coming off a 79-61 loss to North Florida.

ASUN Quarterfinals
The Highlanders will be the eighth-seed and face top-seeded Florida Gulf Coast on March 2 at 7pm in Fort Myers, Florida.
All-Time Series
Saturday will mark the sixth all-time meeting between the two teams, with the Spartans, holding a 4-1 advantage. USC Upstate's A'Lexxus Davis and Riley Popplewell scored a game-best 17 points to lead four double-figure scorers for the visiting Spartans en route to a 95-57 victory over NJIT.
NJIT's
Tatianna Torres and
Kelly Guarino paced the Highlanders with 10 points apiece while
Amarri Trueheart added nine points. Freshman
Dez Allen came off the bench to score seven points and grab seven rebounds in 19 minutes of action.
Scouting USC Upstate
Riley Popplewell tied her career-high of 17 points but USC Upstate was unable to overcome a second quarter run by North Florida in a 79-61 loss.
USC Upstate's Tamera Thorpe is the lone Spartan averaging double-digits with 11.8ppg and 37 steals.
On the boards, A'Lexxus Davis tops the team with 5.6rpg and ranks second with 14 blocks. Popplewell is the team leader with 30 blocks.
Rylie Parkhurst and Anda Kuzmina have combined for 74 three-pointers.
Scouting the Highlanders
Senior
Kelly Guarino led the Highlanders for the second straight game, netting 19 points, on 4-of-8 shooting from three-point range, in the Highlanders 73-53 loss at Jacksonville.
The Highlanders are paced by Guarino in scoring 11.9ppg and three-pointer made (53). Her 53 three-point field goals made, is ranked fourth in the ASUN in 38.3 three-point field goal percentage.
The 5-foor-6 guard has scored in double-figures in the last nine-out-of-10 games and netted 10 three-pointers in the last two games.
Tatianna Torres is second in scoring, averaging 11.3ppg and rebounds (5.2rpg) while leading the Highlanders in assists (89) and steals (49).
Taj Lewis, who ranks second in the ASUN in field goal percentage, is shooting 51.0 percent while averaging 8.6ppg.
