Pablo Jimenez scored with twenty-nine seconds left in the match as the Highlanders dropped a 2-1 ASUN Conference match at Liberty on Saturday afternoon at Osborne Stadium.
Liberty scored a goal in each half to record the Flames first win in conference action.
Scouting NJIT
The Highlanders enter the match with an overall record of 5-7, 0-3 in ASUN Conference play.
NJIT, which last won on September 12, a 1-0 victory at St. Francis Brooklyn, looks to snap a six-match skid.
Redshirt sophomore
Rene White leads both NJIT and ranks second in the ASUN Conference in goals (8). White ranks fourth points (17) in the league. His eight goals ranks White as one of the top goal scorers in the nation (24
th). He netted a season high three goals in the first-ever hat trick in the NJIT Division I era in a come-from-behind victory, 3-2, against Saint Francis U.
Goalkeeper
Victor Pujades ranks third in the ASUN in goals against average (1.53) and fourth in save percentage (.702).
Scouting Stetson
Stetson enters Saturday's contest with a 5-6-1 overall mark, 0-1-1 ASUN Conference.
The Hatters are coming off a 3-0 victory at Georgia State. Erwan Colas scored a goal and added an assist for Stetson.
Colas continue to lead the Hatters with six goals and 15 total points. Lewis Scattergood combined for three goals while three different players sit with two goals. Colas and Gabriel Diniz have two assists each.
