All-Time Series
Kennesaw State leads the all-time series, 5-0.

In the last meeting, which was a down to the wire contest, fourth-seeded Kennesaw State held on for a 62-60 win over fifth-seeded NJIT in the ASUN Conference Quarterfinals.

NJIT, which rallied back from down by as many as 11, cut the Kennesaw State lead to within two, 56-58, with 3:25 in the final period.  After four straight points by the Owls, NJIT's Tatianna Torres connected on a fast break jumper at the two-minute mark and senior leader Leah Horton pulled down, what would be her biggest offensive rebound of her career and converted a layup, pulling the fifth-seeded Highlanders to within two, 60-62.

After consecutive misses by the Owls, NJIT's Alana Dudley grabbed her fourth rebound of the game and advanced the ball over half court, calling a timeout in front of the Highlander bench with 18.1 second on the clock.

The ball, in-bounded to senior point Dudley, came off a high screen from Horton and found NJIT's Tracey Brereton, behind the three-point line, who pulled the trigger but the ball rolled in and out of the cylinder as the Kennesaw State Owls escaped an upset and held on to a 62-60 victory.

Scouting the Owls
Kennesaw State (5-12, 1-5 ASUN) is coming off a 65-61 loss against USC Upstate led by sophomore Carlotta Gianolla's game-high 15 points.

Freshman Kamiyah Street just missed her second straight double-double, scoring 14 points and adding a game-high nine rebounds, while senior Clara Young scored 14 points, collected a season-high six rebounds and dished out six assists for the Owls.

The Owls have two players averaging double-digit scoring, paced by Street at 16.5ppg followed by Gianolla with 10.3ppg.

Street, the reigning ASUN Newcomer of the Week, also tops the team in assists (49) and steals (46).  She has combined for 15 double-digit games, including six 20+ point performances (high of 26 done twice this season).

Gianolla, the 2017 ASUN Conference Freshman of the Year, posted double-digit scoring in the last 9-out-of-11 games for Kennesaw State.

Forward Alexis Poole led the Owls on the boards (7.7rpg) and total blocks (14).

Scouting the Highlanders
The Highlanders (3-18, 1-5 ASUN) are coming off a 74-58 home loss to Lipscomb Saturday wrapping up a three game homestand.
