NJIT will make its first ASUN Conference road trip of the season, visiting Florida Gulf Coast on Saturday afternoon at 4pm in Alico Arena.

The Highlanders (2-14, 0-1 ASUN) are coming off a 95-57 home loss against USC Upstate in the ASUN Conference opener.

With a win on Saturday, the Highlanders will snap a 10-game road losing streak that dates back to last season.  NJIT's last road win came against Lipscomb, 76-53, on February 4, 2017.

All-Time Series
FGCU leads the all-time series, 6-0.  In the last meeting, FGCU defeated NJIT, 77-46, on February 20, 2017. 

FGCU's Rosemarie Julien led four double-figure scorers with a game-best 15 points on 6-of-12 shooting from the field, including three from downtown.  Haley Laughter and Taylor Gradinjan each combined for 11 points apiece.  The duo combined for six three-pointers while Jordin Alexander chipped in 10 points on 5-for-8 from the field and dished out five assists.

NJIT was led by forward Danielle Tunstall, who recorded her fourth double-double, combining for 11 points and matching her season-best with 14 rebounds (10 on the defensive glass).  The 14 rebounds paced NJIT as the Highlanders held a 39-to-35 advantage over the Eagles on the boards.  The three blocks also matched her season-best (3 at Jacksonville).

The first time the two teams met dates back to March 6, 2008 in Edinburg, Texas at the Division I Independent Tournament.  The Eagles won 75-63.

Scouting FGCU Eagles (15-3, 1-0 ASUN)
FGCU has won five straight and nine of 10 after a 80-40 victory over ASUN Conference opponent Stetson.    

The Eagles, who are ranked 23rd in the latest NCAA RPI poll and No. 1 in the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major poll and espnW mid-major polls were paced by Tytionia Adderly's six career double-double 21 points and 13 rebounds.  The reigning ASUN Player of the Week is averaging 7.7 points, 8.8 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 1.7 steals this year through 18 games.

It is the first time the team has held the top spot in both polls at the same time since the first week of November in 2015. On top of that, FGCU is ranked 23rd in the NCAA RPI poll and receiving votes in the USA Today Coaches Poll.

Redshirt junior Lisa Zderadicka is a two-time recipient of the ASUN Newcomer of the Week award.  She tallied 10 points, four rebounds, four assists and a steal in the win over Stetson. She went 2-for-5 from 3-point range, notching her fifth game this season with a double digit point total.

Zderadicka is averaging seven points, 2.2 rebounds and 2.6 assists.

FGCU has opened the season 9-0 at home in Alico Arena. The Eagles have taken down teams such as Illinois, Kentucky, Harvard and South Dakota State in Alico Arena. Kentucky was ranked 20th in the nation at the time, and South Dakota State entered as the No. 3 team in the CollegeInsider.com mid-major poll.

Three Eagles are averaging double-digits in scoring, paced by Rosemarie Julien at 12.8 ppg followed by Taylor Gradinjan (10.2) and Nasrin Ulel (10.1).  Adderly tops the team and the ASUN on the boards with 8.8 rpg.
Jessica Cattani is the league leader in three-point percentage at 46.3 (25-54) while Gradinjan ranks fifth at 38.5 (47-122).

FGCU is ranked No. 1 in the nation in 3-point field goals attempted (610) and 3-point field goals made (204). The team is second in 3-point field goals made per game (12.0) behind DePaul's (12.6).

NJIT's Tatianna Torres and Kelly Guarino paced the Highlanders with 10 points apiece while Amarri Trueheart added nine points.  Freshman Dez Allen came off the bench to score seven points and grab seven rebounds in 19 minutes of action.

Redshirt junior Tatianna Torres leads the team averaging 11.3 ppg and total steals (33).  Freshman Ellyn Stoll is averaging 9.7 ppg and paces the team with 30 three-point field goals made.
Tunstall tops the team on the boards, averaging 6.3 rpg.

Senior forward Taj Lewis leads the ASUN in field goal percentage at 51.7 percent (61-118).
