NEWARK, NJ—The start of Friday's ASUN Conference series between NJIT and visiting Kennesaw State has been moved to a 3pm doubleheader at Riverfront Stadium due to the forecast of rain in the Newark area.
The teams are scheduled for two nine-inning contests.
NJIT will honor its three graduating seniors –
Rex MacMillan,
Cody Kramer and
Bryan Haberstroh in-between games on Friday evening.
Follow the official website of NJIT athletics (www.njithighlanders.com) and social media (@njithighlanders) for updates on Saturday's scheduled contest.
If Saturday's single game is rained out, the two teams will play on Sunday, starting at 11am or 12Noon.
The Owls (20-26, 8-7) enter the weekend fifth in conference standings, while the Highlanders (7-36, 0-15) sit in eighth place. The two teams meet for just the second time in programs' history, as KSU travels to NJIT for the first time after sweeping its series at Stillwell Stadium in 2016.
