The Highlanders (10-15, 3-7 ASUN) will wrap up its ASUN Conference road portion of the 2017 schedule on Monday night when the Highlanders visit North Florida (9-16, 2-8 ASUN) at UNF Arena.
With a win on Monday…
--NJIT will pick up a regular season sweep of North Florida, which will be the second regular season for the Highlanders this season
--NJIT will record its fourth victory of the season in the ASUN Conference
ALL TIME SERIES
North Florida leads the all-time series, 2-1. In the first meeting of the season,
Alana Dudley hit the game-winning shot with :03 seconds, leading NJIT to a 64-62 victory. Freshman Adrienne Jackson scored 16 points, including three triples.
The game will be shown live on ESPN3 (all remaining NJIT home basketball games can be seen on ESPN3).

Near the middle of the home page NJIT TV section, click Upcoming Events for a list of scheduled NJIT contests. After finding the event, click the camera icon to the right of the event listing. Starting in January, every NJIT game played in the ASUN Conference, home and away, throughout the regular season and into the ASUN postseason tournament will be covered on ESPN3.
A LOOK AT NORTH FLORIDA
North Florida is coming off a 77-74 triple overtime victory over USC Upstate Saturday, in which the Ospreys found themselves down at halftime and rallied back to win the game.
The Ospreys, with two wins in ASUN Conference play, picked up its first sweep against USC Upstate. In addition, the game was the first triple overtime in UNF Division I history, since February 2005.
In the win,
Jaiveonna Norris recorded her first career double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds to go along with two assists, three blocks and two steals.
The Ospreys have made at least one 3-pointer in 57 consecutive games dating back to February 25, 2015 when FGCU held them without a three-pointer (0-8). North Florida ranks 2nd in the ASUN with 108 triples.
North Florida is led by two double-figures scorers – Tesh Hanson (11.7 ppg) and Claire Ioannidis (10.4 ppg). Ioannidis has connected on 54 three-pointers this season followed by 36 from Sierra Shepherd. Hanson tops the team with 7.1 rpg.
A LOOK AT NJIT
NJIT is coming off a 75-59 victory at Jacksonville Saturday afternoon, behind a team-best 14 points from redshirt sophomore
Kelly Guarino. Guarino, the team-leader from behind the arc, has connected on 51 three-pointers.
Senior guard
Alana Dudley paces the Highlanders with 12.0 ppg followed by redshirt sophomore
Tatianna Torres at 10.4 ppg. With the six assists dished out by Dudley, the senior moved into second all-time in the D1 era for career assists (276), surpassing Ivana Seric (275).
Freshman
Danielle Tunstall is the team-leader with 6.0 rpg while shooting 42 percent from the field (54-130). Senior forward
Leah Horton, who is averaging 9.8 ppg is also shooting 42 percent (97-232) from the field.
NEXT ACTION
NJIT will return to action on February 18 when the Highlanders host Stetson at 1pm. In the first meeting, Stetson defeated NJIT, 77-43, in DeLand, Florida.
