NEWARK, NJ—Senior guard Sherranda Reddick became Jacksonville's all-time leading scorer, netting a game-best 27 points, including seven three-pointers in the Dolphins 75-56 victory over NJIT in ASUN Conference action Monday evening.
The Dolphins won its third straight game, improving to 14-4 overall, 3-0 in the ASUN while the Highlanders, who most recently picked up its first ASUN win with a come-from-behind victory over North Florida, drop to 8-10 overall, 1-2 in the ASUN.
Reddick, the ASUN's leading scorer, finished with 27 points on 10-of-21 from the field, including 7-of-10 from three-point range. She became the Dolphins' all-time leading scorer in the second quarter and currently sits at 1,511 points, surpassing a career mark of 1,489 set by Ashley Williams (class of 2008).
Junior guard Brandi Buie netted 21 points on 6-of-11 from the field, including three three-pointers while Christian Mercer added 14 points for the Dolphins.
Senior forward Kimberly Dawkins was the game leader on the boards with eight, as the visitors, who are ranked 10
th in the nation in rebounding, held a 35-to-20 margin on the glass. Sophomore guard Jillah Moede dished out a game-best seven assists in the win.

Tatianna Torres, the reigning ASUN Conference Player of the Week, netted a team-best 18 points and added five steals. Torres has now scored in double-figures in the last seven games and sits atop the ASUN with 43 steals.
Senior guard
Alana Dudley netted 12 points while dishing out four assists. Redshirt freshman Ammari Trueheart combined for a career-best nine points off the bench in 14 minutes of action.
Jacksonville held an early four-point advantage at the end of the first quarter and poured in 26 points in the second quarter for a 44-22 lead at the half. The Highlanders outscored the visitors in the third quarter, 23-15, and finished strong in the fourth, 16-11.
NJIT scored the first points of the game and pushed ahead 5-2 after a three-pointer by
Kelly Guarino, just under the 8-minute mark. Jacksonville scored the next 10 points, extending the Dolphin lead to seven, 12-5.
Leah Horton broke the Highlander scoring drought with a jumper in the paint at 2:55 and Jacksonville used a quick 6-4 run to close out the period with an 18-12 advantage.
Jacksonville scored the opening 16 points of the second quarter, extending its lead to 34-12. NJIT's
Alana Dudley got the Highlanders on the board with a jumper from the elbow but the Dolphins scored the next four for a 38-14 lead.
NJIT redshirt freshman Ammari Trueheart knocked down a jumper in the paint at the 4:13 mark and
Danielle Tunstall sank a pair of free throws for a 40-18 score. The Highlanders went on a short 4-1 spurt to end the quarter 44-22 heading into halftime.
Jacksonville's Reddick led all scorers at halftime with 17 points followed by Christian Merver and Brandi Buie with 10. NJIT's Tunstall, Torres and Trueheart each chipped in five points.
The Highlanders opened the second half with seven straight points, sparked by a jumper by Horton in the first minute of the third period, for a 44-29 score. Jacksonville used a 7-2 spurt extending to a 51-33 advantage with 5:53 on the clock.
Neither team scored over the next two minutes until a pair of free throws sank by Torres and a fast break layup by the ASUN Player of the Week, slimming the Dolphin lead, 37-51. The Highlanders scored four straight from the free throw line, cutting the lead to 12, 41-53.
NJIT scored back-to-back buckets from Torres and Trueheart, pulling within 11, 45-56 with less than a minute to play in the quarter. The Dolphins scored three points in the final 21 seconds to hold a 59-45 lead.
Torres netted the first basket of the fourth quarter but the Dolphins used a 7-2 run, pushing its lead to 65-48 with 6:21 left to play in the game. A baseline layup by Dudley cut the deficit to 15, 50-65, but Jacksonville answered on the other end with a three-pointer by Buie for a 68-50 score.
NJIT will return to action this weekend when the Highlanders visit Florida Gulf Coast on Saturday at 4pm on ESPN3. Two days later, NJIT will travel to Stetson and face the Hatters at 7pm on ESPN3.
