NEWARK, NJ—NJIT will resume ASUN Conference play this weekend
as the Highlanders visit Florida Gulf Coast on Friday at 6pm and Stetson on Saturday at 3pm.

NJIT is 4-5 on the road this season. If the Highlanders get a victory at FGCU or at Stetson this weekend NJIT will have equaled their road-win total from the past two years combined.
The Highlanders enter the weekend 8-9 after dropping a 3-0 decision at Iona on Tuesday led by
Weronika Wiezik, who has combined for 172 kills on the season (2.73 per set).
Junior setter
Anna Rodrigues has paced the Highlander offense in 2016. Her 7.12 assists per set ranks fifth in the ASUN. Rodriguez posted a season high 51 assists in the Highlanders' five-set battle with USC Upstate last weekend.
Libero
Adriana Nieto leads the Highlanders defense for the second straight season. Nieto has collected 278 digs in 2016 and ranks third in the conference with 4.41 digs per set. She is tied for fifth in the nation with 29 service aces. The libero has registered an ace in 14 of NJIT's 17 contests.

Stetson is looking to take advantage of their home court, with a 1-1 home record this season, the Hatters have won 24 of their last 34 matches at the Edmunds Center overall. Last season, Stetson won four its seven home conference matches, including a 3-0 victory over NJIT.
Madison Akins ranks in the top-ten in kills for the ASUN this season, and currently ranks second in career kills among active conference players (945).
Sophomore setter Roxy Lake sits seventh in the ASUN for assists with 324, and has had eight 20-plus performances this year.
Stetson's Shelby Connors is fifth in the league with 45 blocks, and ranks fourth among ASUN active career leaders at 250.
