CHARLOTTE, NC – Swimmer Scott Quire was named Coastal Collegiate Sports Association (CCSA) Men's Swimmer of the Week for his performance at the ECAC Winter Championships.
Quirie, from Ottowa, Ontario, Canada, earned Swimmer of the Meet honors after making the podium five times, including finishing first in all four of his individual events.
The junior won the 100 back (51.61), the 200 back (1:52.99), the 200 IM (1:55.03) and the 400 IM in which Quirie's time of 4:07.23 became a new D3B ECAC Winter Championship record.
Quirie was also a member of the 400 medley relay with teammates
Justin Sherrill,
Edward Parks, and Haydn Park that placed third with a time of 3:32.47.
This is Quirie's second career CCSA Men's Swimmer of the Week award.
