KENNESAW, GA—Kennesaw State won its fourth straight match with a convincing 3-0 victory over visiting NJIT Friday evening at the Convocation Center.
The Owls (6-3 A-Sun, 14-6 overall) won in straight sets 25-12, 25-16 and 25-20 paced by freshman outside hitter Sydni Shelton with a match-best 9 kills. Sophomore opposite Anaiah Boyer followed with 8 kills while finishing the match with a .333 hitting percentage.
Setter Kristi Piedimonte recorded a match-high 22 assists and added 6 digs and 2 block assists. Sophomore libero Katarina Morton led the team with 10 digs.
The Owls held an 8-to-1 team blocking advantage led by Rachel Taylor (4 block assists) and Amaria Boyer (1 block solo, 3 block assists). Freshman Maddie Jones notched 2 service aces for the home team.
NJIT (1-8 A-Sun, 6-19 overall) was led by sophomore middle
Tess Albyn's team-best 8 kills followed by
Anneka Harris, who finished the match with a .455 hitting percentage notching 6 kills on 11 attempts with one error.

Adriana Nieto led the match with 15 digs and 4 service aces. Senior twin sisters
