NJIT will host Longwood, its final non-conference opponent of the season, on Sunday at 2pm in the Estelle and Zoom Fleisher Athletic Center … The Highlanders have a bye week in the Great West Conference.

Sunday's game will be a rematch of when the Highlanders visited Longwood on January 14 and fell to the Lancers, 72-71, on Rianna Frazer's three-point shot from the top of the key to beat the final buzzer.

Frazier's three points on the game-winning shot were her only points of the contest.   On top of that, the game-winner was just the second made 3-pointer of the day for the Lancers, who were 1-for-14 from distance before Frazer's fateful basket.

For NJIT, Rayven Johnson is both the leading scorer (11.4ppg) and rebounder (8.1rpg).  Johnson is the NJIT D1 single season leader with 202 rebounds and for her career, the junior has 496 rebounds, which ranks her third all-time in the D1 career books.  Johnson was also named Great West Conference Player of the Week leading the Highlanders to a 2-0 mark in the league last week averaging 12.5ppg and 8.0rpg.

The 11 wins for NJIT ties the Division I program record with victories in a season.  NJIT, who began Division I competition in 2006-07, posted 11 wins in 2009-10.

The Highlanders have won its last three out of four contests and are on a two-game winning streak after the pair of wins at home over  Great West Conference opponents, Texas-Pan American and Houston Baptist.  The last time the Highlanders won three straight  games was in 2009-10 (1/16 at HBU, 1/23 vs. CSU and 1/30 vs. UVU).
